Warning! Which "HEALTHY" foods not to eat

And so it's a beginning of a new year. Every one is hitting the gym and going on diets...
Although I have never been a big fan of diets (I'd prefer working out and eating healthy), I thought it well to share a secret with you that shocked me when I found out.

Some of what you believe to be "healthy foods" might really be the worst, fattening foods under the sun.

So in an attempt to assist you with your new year's resolution to be healthier, thinner and fitter, below is a list of the foods that might seem to be a healthier option, but not to touch unless it's cheat day and you find it to be worth the calories:

1.   Flavoured Instant Oatmeal





 (Yip, although it's oatmeal which is amazing and nutritious, the flavoured instant oatmeal is packed with the wrong sugars that really won't help with nice abs, a thinner waist etc.)

2.  Pretzels



(We all buy it as the "healthy" alternative to crisps, but in fact, pretzels are sadly almost completely made of sugar)

3.  Diet Sodas



(If it says "diet" on the tin, it doesn't always mean that it's good for your diet, it just means in stead of the 100 cups of sugar they add to a normal tin has perhaps been reduced to 50 cups...if you know what I mean)

4.  Protein Bars


(Unfortunately these babies are packed with all different kinds of sugars and bad fats. And in stead of serving as a light snack or meal replacement, they just leave you feeling hungry and wanting more yummy "healthy" snacks and food)

5.  Canned Soup



(Most things that comes in cans are usually packed with sodium, which in excess is really not good for you. Rather make your own, fresh soup and this way you can control what is added to it.)


This list can carry on for days, but let's not get carried away and make ourselves too depressed here. When in doubt about what food the actual, legit healthy food is, always remember, the fresher the better (and the yummier).
